The single channel  video examines few seconds on a couch: Carlos has difficulties to relax... It is replayed from different angles - intimate, concrete, commercial or statistical - and shows how the aspects of a same reality are connected and opposed. The question being if  the human condition is lost in this succession of dimensions or if it finds any substance in them.

The production is intended for looped projections which don’t require the full attention of their viewers. It is made of colorful pop designs, texts, cut photos  and a crescendo soundtrack. It uses a francophone clip from TV5 News relating the Ethiopia floods in 2006.

‘On the couch’ was screened in April 2008 at the Another Roadside Attraction (London, UK) and at the Artropolis festival (curated by LiveBox for the ‘Around The Coyote’ video lounge - Chicago, USA).
